Hey guys..the missus has picked up on an older cherry 528ia. I'd like to do the software upgrade and a cai..and eventually an exhaust. the car has 80k miles.Would those changes make a noticeable difference?? Thanks T

I have a 97 528i. Everything that I have read, with all of those upgrades doesn't apear to give more than about 20-25HP (CAI, Exhaust, chip).

that figure sounds reasonable. i would second that. question always is if that little gain is worth the bucks. on the other hand is 20 hp more not too bad. as far as the mileage is concerned i would not be scared.that engine is not yet broken in.

One upgrade for sure you need to do is the K&N filter. I have a 97 with 80K. Very noticeable imporvement. I feel it every day.

By, the way, I just received a Check Engine light. I stop by my BMW mechanic and he tells me it's a CAM Sensor. . . Any information on this sensor that anyone can add to?!?!

I'm probably looking into ($100-Sensor + $85 labor)!! lovely!!
