New enthusiast of the Z4, 70 years old. 1st things 1st..... Perhaps you all can help me find a ride. I'm looking for something new enough to be in good condition, milage around 50K. I like both the retractable HT and the soft top but would like to get into one that does not have any water damage yet so that I can work to mitigate that problem. I think I prefer the 6 cyl to the 4 cyl turbo but hope to learn more about the powerplants from y'all. I've driven 2 of them so far. A 2003 soft top and a 2007 soft top. I did not purchase the 2003 because it did not even have an aux input on the radio and it would have required quite a bit of rehab. The 2007 was good enough that I gave the guy a counteroffer, but he has apparently decided not to accept that. I counteroffered because his asking price was too high for the work the car needed. headlight polishing, new speakers, airbag alert on the dash, tire pressure alert on the dash, only one key and the tint on the back window is bubbling and needs to be removed. I think I'm better off looking around 2012-2016, OH and did I mention I'm a manual transmission guy? I have a daily driver car that is an automatic. The Z4 will be for fun.

Hay..... The new/old guy is now an owner. 2015 E89 sDrive 28i M Sport. "Pull me over red" with the white "burnt Sienna" package. I'm hopping the 4 banger will have the power I need and handle a little better than the I6. Let y'all know my thoughts in a few days. Off to pick her up over on the east coast and drive back to Houston.
